Patient Care

Films that support patients and care teams

Short 15 and 30 second films to support the nationwide ‘Space for…’ campaign for Maggie’s

TM Studios works with healthcare providers and charities to create clear, trusted patient-facing films that support people  through treatment and care. We specialise in developing programmes that combine clinical accuracy, patient experience and sensitive execution, and delivering them at scale across healthcare settings. We work closely with charities on collaboration with NHS Trusts to create patient-facing films that are accurate, reassuring and grounded in real experience.

Over the past five years, TM Studios has worked in close partnership with Maggie’s and the NHS to develop ‘Getting Started with Cancer Treatment’, a national series of patient information films designed to prepare people for treatment before it begins. This work has been shortlisted in the 2026 ‘Best Not for Profit Working in Partnership with the NHS’ category in the Health Service Journal Partnership Awards.

Case Study: Maggie’s and the NHS ‘Getting Started’

Feedback

‘The introduction of our Getting Started session in collaboration with Maggie’s has been a huge gear shift in helping new patients to feel more prepared and equipped for their first session of treatment. Taking the session away from the treatment floor means that our staff and patients can engage with the sessions without distraction, allowing sufficient protected time for questions and answers.’

‘ Getting Started has significantly strengthened the collaboration between Maggie’s and the NHS. We are now seeing record numbers of people visiting our centres. Additionally, Getting Started gives back time to NHS clinical teams and eases pressure on their busy schedules, as well as providing better support to those starting treatment. TM Studios has played a crucial role in this initiative across England, Scotland, and Wales. Their expertise in strategy, creative execution, and stakeholder management has enabled us to launch Getting Started in over 20 hospitals in collaboration with NHS colleagues, and our reach continues to expand.’
