Film highlighting Health Poverty Action’s work making pregnancy and childbirth safe for the San people in southern Africa
It takes a village. Filmed on location in remote southern Africa, this film tells the story of the San people and the challenges women face in accessing even the most basic healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth — and how Health Poverty Action is working to change that.
Through interviews with women who use the service, the film gives a direct voice to those living at the heart of the issue, while showing the lifesaving support the charity provides in some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places.
By combining sensitive storytelling with authentic on-location filming, TM Studios created a powerful and accessible piece that raises awareness of maternal health inequalities and celebrates the vital work Health Poverty Action is doing to keep women and babies safe.
