Part of Maggie’s Getting Started campaign, this film introduces a nationwide programme that helps people understand their cancer treatment and feel empowered to take an active role in it.
“As we roll this out across the country, more and more people are able to have a better understanding of the cancer treatment before it begins and can be an active partner in that treatment.”
Filmed in Maggie’s centres across the UK, we interviewed people currently undergoing treatment to show the real impact of this programme. Our role as filmmakers is not only technical but also human — listening carefully, asking with empathy, and creating a safe space where people feel comfortable to share their stories.
We’ve been privileged to work with Maggie’s for over five years, capturing stories that highlight their extraordinary support for anyone facing cancer.
