Photography documenting the roll-out of a new malaria vaccine in Guinea, West Africa
Toby travelled to Guinea in West Africa to capture the introduction of a groundbreaking malaria vaccine, commissioned by the global health charity MMV and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Working on location, he produced a series of still images that document both the medical teams delivering the vaccine and the families whose lives stand to be transformed by it. The photography conveys the scale of the campaign while focusing on the human stories at its heart — from children receiving their first doses to the relief of parents and the dedication of healthcare workers.
The result is a body of work that brings visibility to one of the most significant advances in the fight against malaria in decades, supporting MMV’s mission to improve access to life-saving interventions across Africa.
